Ian Savitz - Vice President of Operations

Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Ursinus College, and a Master's of Science in Sport and Athletic Administration from West Chester University. Ian's certifications include AAAI and ISMA.

"Since starting a career as a personal trainer in 2000, I have worked with a variety of populations including professional athletes, children, elderly, and individuals with multiple schlorosis, herniated discs, and fibromyalgia. I enjoy the diversity of the clientele that I work with and find it rewarding to help these individuals attain fitness goals. Health and fitness is truly a field where you can touch and improve people's lives, and for that reason, I am committed to a career in this industry. As the Operations Manager for FACTS Fitness, I now have the opportunity to spread my philosophy throughout all of our locations. I settle for nothing less than unrivaled customer service. At any of our facilities, I want our members to feel welcome and cared for by our professional staff. Patrick Sarne - General Manager, Ellis Athletic Center

Patrick attended Winthrop University for Business. His fitness certification is from World Instructors Training School. He entered the fitness field because he enjoys healthy/active living.

Patrick is an American Legion baseball umpire. His favorite hobby is playing hockey.
 
     
Mike Kramer - General Manager, Steel Fitness

Mike Kramer has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Fitness and Management from East Strousburg University where he played Varsity football. Mike comes to Steel Fitness with 10 years experience in the fitness industry. He has been a collegiate level kicking coach for Moravian College and Lehigh University, as well as a high school football strength coach.

Mike has also served as Fitness Director for the Bethlehem YMCA and General Manager of a small Bethlehem health club and has extensive personal training experience. In his spare time, Mike is a professional model and has appeared in several television commercials.
 
Sally Lewe Bratz - Personal Trainer/Tennis Instructor

Sally Bratz graduated from The College of William and Mary, where she played Varsity Tennis all 4 years. Sally has played competitive tennis since age 7. She played on the Junior Circuit with the Jordan sisters, Tracey Austin, and Pam Shriver. Sally is a USPTA Level One teaching pro for over 20 years and has produced some nationally ranked juniors. She was the Head Coach for Villanova Women's Tennis from 1995-1997. Her credentials include USPTA Pro Level One, AAAISMA, CPR, and First Aid.

Sally travels during the year conducting tennis clinics in the Caribbean and South America. She has been doing the international clinics for over 10 years.

Mike Klevence - Personal Trainer

Mike Klevence has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Juris Doctor degree from Widener Law School. Seven years ago, Mike made a total career change from practicing law to becoming a personal trainer. The reason in Mike’s own words, “Do what you love to do and I love fitness!” Mike’s certifications include CSCS, ACE Personal Trainer, USAT&F Level 1 Coach and CPR. He enjoys reading listening to music and travel.
 
     
Willie Owens - Head Personal Trainer, Class Instructor

Willie Owens graduated from Penn State with majors in Exercise Science and Chemistry. His fitness certifications include ESA, AAAI, NASM, CPR. He entered the fitness field because in his words, "It's the next best thing to being a doctor."

Willie played professional football with NJ Cardsharks Arena football, 2003; CFL Winnepeg Bluebombers, 1998; and in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams, 1997. He is also a 6-time All-American in Track & Field.
 
     
Boubacar Sacko - Personal Trainer/Taekwondo Instructor/Class Instructor

Boubacar Sacko has a Masters degree in Public Administration from Villanova University, and a BA in Political Science from Eastern University. He attended Drexel University where he studied English and Communication. His fitness certifications include WITS, WTF, CPR.
 
     
Kyle Petaccio - Personal Trainer

Kyle attended Harcum College majoring in Vet. Tech. His certifications include AAAI, ISMA, and CPR. Kyle played professional Inline Hockey winning the National Championship in 2000 and 2002. Kyle enjoys being in the fitness industry to help others and to stay in shape! He enjoys playing hockey, working out, running on the beach and cooking.
 
     
Jennifer Skursky - Personal Trainer

Jen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Cabrini College. She played basketball while at Cabrini. Jen is certified in CPR, First Aid, and as a lifeguard. She recently started competitive running and will compete in several area races this fall.

Kyle Peters - Personal Trainer

Kyle graduated from DeSales University in 2005 majoring in Sports Management. While at DeSales, he played baseball and participated in the 2003 Division III College World Series. He continued his education at East Stroudsburg University where he earned a Masters degree in Sports Management. Kyle has over 5 years experience in performance training, athletic training, and personal training. He is also a professional rescuer in first aid and CPR.
 
     
Tomas Matias - Fitness Consultant

Tomas served 8 years in the U.S. Army where he completed Air Assault School in the top of his class. He is currently studying to be a Certified Personal Trainer and is on the sales team of Steel Fitness.
 
     
Joanna Lenczwska - Spin Instructor

Member of Steel Fitness since July 2006. Spinning certified instructor since November 2006. Spends a lot of time looking for new music and new Spinning profiles to keep classes motivated. Has been Spinning for 6 years. Enjoys working out with weights and high impact workouts that break a sweat.
 
     
Gina Birch - Yoga and Pilates Instructor

Gina Birch has been practicing ashtanga, vinyasa and pilates mat for over 7 years. She has both Yoga and Pilates certifications through the American Fitness Professionals and Associates, AFPA. She is completing a 200 hour training RYT with Bill Raup @ Power Yoga Works. She has studied with both Beryl Bender Birch as well as Ralf Gates.

Gina began her study of Zen and Vajrayana training of the mind in 1994 with Lama Lobsang Samten, and brings the practice of universal spiritual laws of mindful living to her class format.

Most of Gina's adult career life was in the fine arts graphic design and most importantly a full-time mom.
 
     
Linda Hunt - Group Fitness Instructor

Linda graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. After working many years in the Corporate sector she chose a new career path and became an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor and a certified Mat Pilates Instructor.

Linda teaches a wide variety of classes including weight training, step, pilates, hi/lo and kickbox. As a pilates instructor she places a big emphasis on core training in all of her classes.

Linda lives in West Chester with her husband, two children and two dogs. She loves gardening, cooking, traveling and of course, exercise!!!
 
     
Jen Parry Lohner - Group Fitness Instructor

Jen has been teaching group fitness for over 20 years. She holds both personal training and aerobic certifications with ACE. "Hi-lo aerobics as well as step, interval, and cardio kickbox classes are my passion!"

Jen was co-host of a Comcast cable fitness program which aired locally every Thursday for four years.
 
     
Kathi Tommasino - Group Fitness Instructor

Kathi Tommasino began teaching fitness classes in the early 1980's (the days of leg warmers and unitards) while attending Penn State University. She has been certified by IDEA, AFFAA and AAAI. She also has CPR and First Aid certifications as well.

"I believe that the biggest obstacles to working out are boredom and injury, which is why I attend as many seminars and workshops as I can throughout the year. It is my goal to stay updated on new and innovative ideas for working out, as well as proper techniques for injury prevention. My main goal is to provide fun, safe, effective classes in which people of all fitness levels can participate."

Kathi has two teenaged children who are "my first priority". The fitness industry has provided her with the flexibility to always put "family first".
 
     
Betsy Bartos - Spinning Instructor

Betsy Bartos has been spinning as part of her training regimen since August 2003. She became a Mad Dog Certified Spin Instructor in May 2006 and obtained CPR and AED certifications as well. Betsy is recognized as an effective leader of beginning through advanced level participants. She demonstrates ability to motivate through personal interaction and use of customized music support.

Betsy is an avid runner and swimmer, having completed The Philadelphia Marathon in 2003 and 2005 and The Boston Marathon in 2004. She competed in her first triathlon in 2007 here in Philadelphia. She is a proponent of cardio, strength, and cross training as key elements to better performance.
 
 
Jean Hopkins - Yoga Instructor

Jean Hopkins has been practicing yoga since the mid 1900s. She has earned Level I, II and III certifications with AAAI/ISMA. In 2005, Jean began her 200 hour training with Cara Bradley at Verge Power Yoga in Wayne; and Johnny Gillespie of Empowered Yoga in Wilmington. She earned her RYT in March 2006 and is a registered member of Yoga Alliance. Jean is also certified in Mat Pilates I and II through AAAI/ISMA.

She has studied with Beryl Bender Birch, Rolf Gates, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Simon Park, Jimmy Barkin, Deanna McLaughlin, John DeMinico, Donna Farhi, Kali Ray, Christine Hoar, Brian Kest, David Nichtern and Curt Woolford.

Jean has a Master's degree in Education and has taken her passion of learning and sharing into her yoga and Pilates classes. She is also an avid golfer and gardener.

Kate Meehan - Spin Instructor

Kate has been a certified spin instructor for five years. Kate is certified by American Aerobic Association International (AAAI) & International Sports Medicine Association (ISMA). She also has an indoor biking certification from the Interactive Fitness Trainers of America. Kate also has a CPR certification. She enjoys looking for new music and drills to keep her classes exciting, intense and motivating!
 
     
Dianne Scartozzi – Spin Instructor

Dianne Scartozzi is an ACE, Spinning and CPR certified trainer/instructor who has spent the past 27 years participating in the fitness industry, five in a training capacity. Dianne currently concentrates her efforts in both a Spinning and Body Sculpt class environment. Her past professional life was in Investment Services followed by a number of years as co-creator and operator in a local Restaurant, The Willistown Grille.
Dianne’s love of fitness will keep her motivated to remain in the industry for many years to come. Besides the gym, Dianne spends much of her leisure time on the golf course.
 
     
Heather Capoferri-Group Fitness Instructor

Heather has been working in the fitness industry for over 25 years. Her interest in fitness started when she joined her first gym at age 17. Heather soon after started teaching group fitness and has been a certified personal trainer for the past 12 years.

Her group fitness classes at EAC are energetic and upbeat. Her goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as instilling a healthy attitude in her class participants.

Heather's other interests are spending time with her husband and 3 three children, summers at the beach and just enjoying life.
 
     
Donna Romeo-Spin Instructor

Donna Romeo has been a certified group fitness instructor for 26 years. She has been certified by Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Temple University and AFAA (Aerobics Fitness Association of America). She has also completed the AFAA Personal Trainer Certification. Donna has also completed the Johnny G. Spinning Instructor training program and is a certified Spinning instructor.

Donna currently teaches Spinning, Cardio, Step & Strengthening classes at Ellis Fitness Center, Paoli Health and Fitness and Main Line Health. She is also the Spinning Director at Paoli Health and Fitness. Donna has also been the Aerobics Coordinator in many area fitness clubs over the last 20 years, as well as the head trainer for all new instructors.
 
     
Krissi Bartley - Spin Instructor

Krissi Bartley has been into fitness for most of her life. She started doing aerobics when she was 10 years old and has been teaching aerobics since January 2005. Krissi is certified to teach aerobics through AAAI. She has been teaching spinning since November 2006 and also has her certification for spinning through AAAI. She enjoys working with weights and doing almost any type of cardio.
 
     
     
Chrissy Pupelis - Personal Trainer

Chrissy Pupelis earned her Bachelor's Degree from Carthage College. She has been in the fitness industry for over 8 years. Chrissy's certifications include NASM AND FAST; and she is currently working on her Pilates certifications. Chrissy chose the field of fitness so she could help others to be fit and healthy. She is now offering one-on-one Pilates training at Ellis Athletic Center (Newtown Square) and Motivation Fitness (West Conshohocken).
 
 
     
Scott Mulvaney - Spin Instructor
 

12 years cycling background, most recently completed the MS150 2007 a MS benefit ride that runs from Philadelphia to Ocean City, NJ and back in two days.

11 years in skiing. Most recently started working with Camelback's Alpine Race Ski School which teaches kids how to Race, Slolom's, etc.

Red Cross Certified as a Professional Rescuer which covers all forms of CPR, etc.

Other athletic background would be Outdoor activities including Hiking, Camping, Climbing, etc. Most recent trip was hiking in the Havasupai Indian Reservation at the Grand Canyon for a week in December 2007, covered about 40 miles in hiking for the week.
 

 
     
Nicole Dugan – Spin Instructor

Nicole Dugan is a certified Johnny G Spinning Instructor since March 2004. Over the past for years, she has taught for many health clubs and fitness service organizations. Nicole is a Finance Major at Lehigh University where she helped to initiate the spinning program. Nicole’s favorite spinning move is the standing climb and her favorite spinning song is “Reel Around the Sun.”
 

 
     
Chad Doncsecz – Staff

Chad is currently studying at Northampton Community College for his Associate’s degree in Sport Management. He is also planning on taking classes for an Associate’s degree in Radio/TV. Throughout High School Chad played and received letters in football, basketball, and track. He also played CYO basketball and is getting into modeling and acting in his spare time. He is certified in CPR and First Aid. He plans on getting his certification to be a Personal Trainer.
 

 
     
Brian Casey – Sales Consultant/IT Specialist

Brian career in Sports and Fitness began while he was at Marywood College on the “Running Nun’s” Lacrosse team. As a Junior, Brian transferred to Elon University and again joined the lacrosse team. Upon graduating from Elon, Brian joined the Crystal Mountain Ski team and raced the “Super G” event.

Brian is also an avid Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Football, and X-games fan. He can often be found skydiving, bungee jumping, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or playing rugby with the LVRFC. He will soon be finishing his personal training certification.
 

 
     
Carolyn Kenyon – Front Desk Manager/ACSF Personal Trainer

Carolyn’s interest in fitness and exercise began in high school and has continued to expand throughout her life. Although, only recently obtained a ACSF certification as a personal trainer. Carolyn has also been a certified aerobics and aqua-aerobics instructor.

Her training style focuses on the use of free weights and resistance training. Carolyn is also a certified yoga instructor. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys Pilates, Yoga, body sculpting and riding her motorcycle.
 
 
     
Edit Szabo' - Yoga Instructor

Edit’s “Stretch-and-Flow” approach to yoga practice combines hatha’s deep stretching with the fluidity of ashtanga – appropriately modified to an individual’s experience and limitations. She earned her 200-hour certification at Jai Yoga in 2007. Edit is also nearing completion of her BA in elementary education from East Stroudsburg University, a process she began in her native Hungary before moving to the US in 2002.

Michelle J. Smith - Dance Instructor

Michelle is a graduate of The Juilliard School with a BFA degree in dance. She has also trained at The Ailey School and is a graduate of New York City High School of Performing Arts. She has performed professionally with several dance companies in New York including Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, Balance Dance Company and Allen Body Group. She has most recently performed in the New York City and touring companies of Stomp. Michelle has nine years of experience teaching dance to all ages and in several disciplines. She has received awards from NAACP, National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts and was a United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts in 2000. Her choreographic works have been presented at several theaters in New York City.
 
     
Dan Horwath - Personal Trainer

Dan Horwath holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University. He has AED and CPR certifications and 4 years of experience in the fitness industry. Dan enjoys helping people reach their fitness goals. His hobbies include Brailian Jujitsu, working out and mountain biking.
 
     
Tara Harding - Nutrition Consultant

Tara earned a B.S. in Biology from Moravian College and fulfilled coursework for a second major in Nutrition from Cedar Crest College. She finished a Dietetic Internship through The College of Saint Elizabeth in which she completed 1000+ hours in the dietetic field while earning credits toward her Master’s degree. Tara has always loved the weight management and sports aspects of the nutrition field. During her education, she focused her research on the roles that specific nutrients play in the weight loss process. Tara is excited to implement nutrition counseling at Steel Fitness. She believes that in order to achieve optimal health and peak performance, it is essential to address the individual nutritional needs of each of her clients. Tara will work with you to design a personalized meal plan with nutrition goals that are created to meet your needs.
 
     
Aaydah Howard, Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor

Aaydah has a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology from Temple University. She has been involved in fitness and athletics since childhood. Her passion is strength conditioning and endurance training. She is also certified in Exercise and Aging and Performance Nutrition. Her style incorporates added resistance and limited recovery time to maximize results. She also focuses on total body stretching, range of motion, and core alignment.
